The Shimano SH-XC300 is a straightforward XC MTB shoe for riders who want a secure fit, good pedalling efficiency and the convenience of a BOA closure without stepping up to Shimano's more expensive race shoes. The lightweight glass-fibre-reinforced nylon sole has a stiffness rating of 5/12, giving you a useful balance between support on the pedals and flexibility when walking.

The integrated upper and midsole construction gives the shoe a close, supportive feel, while Shimano's Surround Wrapping upper reduces overlap around the foot. The offset BOA L6 dial makes it quick and easy to fine-tune the fit, while the perforated synthetic leather upper helps with ventilation.

Underneath, the rubber XC outsole provides grip both on the pedal and when you're off the bike. The low-profile sole helps keep your foot stable over the pedal, and the shoe uses a 2-bolt SPD cleat system. Shimano lists an approximate weight of 332g per shoe in size 42.
