The Maxxis Assegai 27.5 x 2.50 WT Tubeless Ready EXO+ is a high-performance mountain bike tyre designed for aggressive trail, enduro, and downhill riding. Developed in collaboration with World Cup downhill champion Greg Minnaar, the Assegai delivers exceptional grip, predictable cornering, and confident braking performance across loose, wet, rocky, and technical terrain.
Named after the traditional South African spear, the Assegai combines aggressive tread design with closely spaced centre knobs to provide outstanding traction and rolling consistency in a wide range of trail conditions. Large supportive side knobs offer exceptional cornering stability, making it a favourite among aggressive riders and enduro racers worldwide.
The EXO+ casing adds increased puncture protection and sidewall support compared to standard EXO construction, while the Tubeless Ready design allows riders to run lower tyre pressures for improved grip and comfort with reduced puncture risk.
