What it is
A quick puncture repair tool for tubeless tyres that lets you fix holes without removing the wheel or tyre.
 It’s essentially a “plug-and-ride” emergency repair kit.
 How it works (simple version)
- You get a puncture (usually from a thorn, glass, or sharp rock)
- You remove the object if it’s still stuck
- You push a rubber plug into the hole using the Dynaplug tool
- The plug seals the tyre from the inside
You can often keep riding immediately afterward.
 What makes it special
 Viscoelastic rubber cord
- Flexible material that expands inside the hole
- Helps create a tight seal
 Brass tip
- Helps guide the plug into the puncture cleanly
- Doesn’t damage the tyre casing
Why it matters for tubeless riding
Tubeless tyres (like the Schwalbe ones you’ve been looking at) are:
- more resistant to punctures
- but still not immune to large holes
Dynaplug is your on-the-trail backup system
⏱️ Real-world benefit
- Fixes punctures in under 1–2 minutes
- No need for:
- inner tubes
- tyre removal
- long stops
You stay riding instead of walking home
“Repair can last the life of the tyre”
This means:
- If installed properly, the plug can become a permanent seal
- Many riders never replace it
 But in practice:
- small punctures = permanent fix
- large cuts = sometimes temporary until proper repair/replacement
?‍♂️ When you actually need this
Very useful if you ride:
- tubeless MTB tyres (like your Schwalbe setups)
- gravel or XC trails
- rocky or thorn-prone terrain
Especially relevant on mixed terrain around Cape Town where:
- thorns
- sharp rocks
- dry scrub vegetation
can easily puncture tyres.
❌ Limitations
- Doesn’t fix:
- sidewall tears
- very large gashes
- Can still require a tube as backup in serious damage cases
 Bottom line
The Dynaplug system is a fast, reliable emergency repair tool for tubeless tyres:
- fixes most trail punctures instantly
- lets you keep riding
- works best as a backup system, not a replacement for spare tubes or sealant
