Installation
The GP1 uses a single aluminium clamp on each grip, allowing the support platform to be rotated to the rider's preferred position before tightening. Ergon's installation instructions specify a 5 Nm maximum clamp torque for the GP1. The grip requires a 22.2mm handlebar diameter in the grip area.
Benefits
The broad ergonomic platform spreads hand pressure over a larger area than a conventional round grip. This can make a noticeable difference on long rides, commuting, touring and recreational MTB, particularly for riders who experience hand discomfort or fatigue.
