Baradine Rotor 180mm (6-bolt, Stainless Steel 410)

  • 180mm size
This is the rotor diameter. 180 mm gives you a noticeable step up in braking power and heat handling compared to 160 mm—great for trail riding, heavier riders, or long descents.
  • 6-bolt mount
The rotor attaches to the hub with six bolts (the most common standard, originally from Shimano). Make sure your hub matches this—not Center Lock.
  • Stainless Steel 410
This is a hardened steel alloy commonly used in brake rotors. It balances:
    • Good durability (resists wear)
    • Decent corrosion resistance
    • Stable braking performance under heat
  • “Superior heat dissipation”
A 180 mm rotor already helps with heat because of its size. The cut-out design (the holes/pattern) improves airflow and cooling, which reduces brake fade on long rides.
  • “Excellent wear” (wear resistance)
Means it should last a reasonable amount of time before thinning out—assuming proper pad choice and alignment.
  • “Stainless in color”
Just means it has that typical silver metallic finish—no coating like some higher-end rotors.

Is it good?

Baradine is generally considered a budget to mid-range brand. This rotor should be:

  • ✔ Fine for everyday riding, commuting, light trail use
  • ✔ Good value for money
  • ✖ Not as consistent under extreme heat as premium rotors (like Shimano Ice-Tech or SRAM HS2)

Things to double-check before buying/installing

  • Your frame/fork supports 180mm rotors
  • You have the correct adapter for your brake caliper
  • Your hub is 6-bolt
  • Compatible brake pads (resin vs metallic can affect noise/wear)
