Shimano Bottom Bracket Press Fit MTB 7141A

What Is It?

The Shimano 7141A Press-Fit MTB Bottom Bracket is a press-fit bearing system designed to connect a Shimano Hollowtech II 24mm crankset to a bicycle frame that uses a BB92 / 41mm press-fit bottom bracket shell.

Instead of threading into the frame, it is pressed directly into the frame shell, allowing for a lighter, stiffer frame design.

It is commonly used on modern mountain bikes (XC, trail, and marathon builds).
